“Desire” is HISTORY‘s third mini-album with a total of 5 tracks in it. This rookie group impresses with their innovative way of mashing up different styles in one album, standing out in with their originality.
Starting off with “I Got You”, HISTORY shows their voice versatility as you can hear soulful as well as catchier parts, all surrounded by cool guitar riffs as well as with dance-infused backgrounds. This song is a good start in the album, as it clearly spices up the atmosphere.
Next on is “Psycho”, which undoubtedly deserves to be the lead track. As you can imagine from the title, the lyrics for this track are in some way disturbing, reflecting the obsessive way of not being able to get over a girl. Vocally seen, “Psycho” it’s really enjoyable to listen to and the spectacular MV for this song is worth of your attention so that you’re able to enjoy this song to the fullest.
“No Sun” is the third song of this album and it has a soothing effect after the intense lead track. With a softer melody and delicate voices, HISTORY transmits a happy-go-lucky feeling. Nevertheless, the lyrics are desperate, full of longing and surely reflect once more the “psycho” concept of this album.
“It’s Alright” has a dominant background music that matches nicely with HISTORY‘s voices and I particularly like the rap parts of this song.
Last track of “Desire is the stunning “Blue Moon”. Great piano playing, finger snapping and seductive voices slowly lead you to the catchy refrain of this track, which is surely a great way to close up this mini-album.
Once again, HISTORY did an excellent work, proving they’re still growing and developing to become an awesome, outstanding group. Unfortunately, they’re not getting all the recognition they should have jet and all of us should show more support to them!
