The Japanese group AliceNine has announced that they will officially be changing their name to A9.
Though the group had made this change before when they left their company, but reverted back to their original name after their first comeback live, they have made an official announcement that they will be continuing forward as A9.
Fans may know that after the band’s 10th anniversary last year, the band has announced that they would be leaving their management company. This year, they came back and continued with band activities. However, they had faced many difficulties and came across many obstacles for using the band name “AliceNine” and the tour almost couldn’t happen.
They managed to overcome the problems for their fans and supporters and everyone was able to enjoy their music and performances. Hence, the decision was made, in order to prevent any further issues related with the usage of the “AliceNine” name, to officially and permanently change their band name A9.
The decision to make this change also signifies their determination to start anew, breaking off from their previous management and becoming independent. With this decision, Re:birth-飛翔- & Re:birth-Tensyou- was the band’s last tour as “AliceNine”.
Marking the change in name and moving on, they will be holding a one-man concert on December 25th this year at Roppongi EX theatre as A9.
While the flip-flop and issues that arose from it may have caused confusion to the fans and others who are supporting A9/AliceNine, please continue to support the boys as they move forward as A9. Their passion in music and love for their fans has not changed, but will only grow stronger.
