The collaboration track “Doctor Pepper” by CL, Riff Raff, Diplo, and OG Maco has been revealed!
“Doctor Pepper“, a collaboration track by CL, OG Maco, Diplo, and Riff Raff, has been released. Although the collaboration was first unveiled in May, the official music video has now been made available to the public!
News regarding CL‘s American debut has also been revealed! Diplo, in an interview with TIME magazine, has said that two tracks will be released regarding her American debut – “Birthday” and “One“.
“Birthday” is described as a track that will be sung half in Korean, half in English. It is reminiscent of 2NE1’s famed style of music. “One” on the other hand is noted by Diplo to be a “real pop, teenage-graduation kind of fun kid record.”
CL‘s debut album is, according to both Diplo and YG Entertainment, set to be released in September. CL‘s work is likely to be done in a hip-hop style as Diplo quotes CL as being “very rap-leaning”.
Here is the full quote by Diplo: “It’s going to be [labeled] K-pop because she’s doing it, so it’s going to be coming from another place and there’s going to be Korean lyrics. But for the most part it’s eclectic. She’s very rap-leaning, she’s very fashion forward. She’s like the Nicki Minaj of that world. She’s the coolest artist to work with”.
Stay tuned for CL‘s debut in the US, and check out “Doctor Pepper” here!
