Misaruka are a Japanese visual-kei band formed in 2008 and consist of 5 members. Rui is the vocalist, Rin and Sawah are guitarists, Azami is the bassist and Vetchie is the drummer. Misaruka have 2 former members, Mizuki and Yusei, who were both guitarists.

Misaruka held their first concert in June 2008 at Meguro Rokumeikan. Their first single, -Amakusa-, was released in August of 2008 as well. Misaruka then spent the whole year touring and holding concerts with a new single named -Doll- released in January of 2009. During this year, guitarist Yusei left the band due to personal reasons, with the other guitarist, Mizuki exiting the band almost a year later in 2010.

Right after the announcement of the departure of Mizuki, the band announced that they would be going on an indefinite hiatus. While they were on hiatus, Misaruka took the name Project -Merrow- and performed for a little while with 2 new and ‘mysterious’ guitarists.

January 2011 saw the comeback of Project -Merrow- as Misaruka, with their 2 new guitarists, Rin and Sawah. Their new single as a revived Misaruka was announced to be tilted -Merrow- and be released in April 2011 under their new label, Starwave Records.

Misaruka’s next single was released on October 10th 2011 and was titled -Cailleach Rosary-. Misaruka’s next album was titled Episodes -Merrow- and was released on the 2nd of May 2012, with their most popular song Jester being on that album.

Their next album was announced 9 months later, on the 30th January 2013 and was titled -Juliet-. 2 more singles were released in 2013, -Rasen- and Gekka no Yasoukyoku in September and December respectively.

Misaruka’s next full length album is a ‘complete’ version of their mini album, Episodes -Merrow-, and includes 2 new songs, Ariel and For You. The 9th of July saw Misaruka release their 1st mini album, Ancient ReBORN and this included re-recorded versions of previous songs such as -Amakusa-, -Troy- and -Curse of Contract-.

January 2015 saw Misaruka release their 3rd album, The Butterfly Effect, which includes both old and new songs. Misaruka are a fantastic visual-kei band and deserve all the love that they get from their fans. We hope you like and support them and we might get a concert or two in Europe!!
