Plunklock was formed in 2010 as a 4 members band. They are really original in their music and in their look as a visual key band, it’s normal, but we can definitely identify them already by their looks. Their music is a mix between pop, rock and metal. It’s absolutely not common but we must say, they did it pretty well. Their evolution is surprising and good. They only released a few singles but they are already popular and not only in Japan, in Europe as well. Indeed, they did a first European tour in 2012 which was apparently a great success. They are coming back this year for a new European tour and we are pretty sure, they will have another success with this. Their talents is recognized everywhere. Even though, they recently had to change their guitarist, they stay positive, they even plan on making a full length album soon, let’s hope for it!
As members, we have the vocalist Halo, he is clearly special and we cannot really miss him as he has a lot of charisma. His voice is also very nice to listen to and it’s surprising how he can handle to go from screaming metal like to simply singing again. And the very good musicians of the band are the bassist Haruka, the drummer Pinky who has an unusual look and the new guitarist is Seishou.
They released their very first single „Teardrop“ in March 2011 followed by „Breakout“ in August. Those are two very famous song of Plunklock. In 2012, they still released a few other singles, but in April, they finally release a First EP with 5 songs on it, it’s called Gradation. But they didn’t stop there for 2012, in July they released another new single „World is mine“ and in December they came with the single „Now or never“. As you can see, they are pretty active and make a lot of release. They even plan to release a new single in April 2013 called „JUSTart“. We really hope to have a full length album soon to be able to enjoy fully Plunklock.
If you don’t know them, please check them out and give them a lot of support. And of course, if they come in a city near where you live during their European tour in May, don’t hesitate to go and have fun with this amazing band.
