T.M.Revolution whose real name is Nishikawa Takanori is one of the biggest stars in J-pop/rock nowadays. He was born in Yasu, Japan in1970. He is a solo artist although he participates in a group called abingdon boys school. Apart from that he has also created the opening and ending songs of many animes in which we can count the famous Rurouni Kenshin. But not only is he a famous singer in Japan, he is the first artist to sign with Tofu Records in the USA.
He debuted with the visual-kei band Luis Mary but it disbanded. After that he kept on working hard, and debuted as T.M. Revolution in 1996 with the single “Dokusai -monopolize-” that same year he released his first album MAKES REVOLUTION which reached #20 on the Oricon charts and charted for 30 weeks.
That same year he released “HEART OF SWORD ~Yoake Mae~” which was the third ending theme for the popular anime Rurouni Kenshin. It was an instant success and so it was his next album Restoration LEVEL→3 that reached #5 on the charts.
Nishikawa got into the top ten with his single “HIGH PRESSURE“. And he got into the first spot with the single “WHITE BREATH“. His pace of work was crazy and not much later that same year he released his third album Less than a month later, it was called Triple joker.
In 1998 he released “HOT LIMIT” that also got into the first spot in the Oricon chart. That same year he ended T.M.Revolution and started TMR-e that stands for evolution with Asakura Daisuke. He released “KAGEROH” and “GEKKOH“.
He has released many albums since then and he has been in charge of openings such as the one for Mobile Suit Gundam Seed.
Al this success led to his debut in North America at Otakon in 2003.
He has even hosted music shows like POP JAM even though it didn’t last long. In Total he has released 10 albums, 5 best albums, and a ton of singles. All of them even more successful than the previous.
Let’s keep on waiting for the new material that he will surprise us with.
