Lee Hi is a South Korean singer of YG Entertainment, born on 23rd September 1996. Her real name is Lee Ha Yi. Her fans are called HiHeels.

After getting a lot of attention as the runner-up of K-Pop Star Season 1, she debuted on October 2012 with the single “1.2.3.4“, which quickly reached the top on the charts and gave her the nickname “monster rookie”. Her first full album titled ‘First Love‘ was released a few months after, on March 2013. She won the Best Rookie Award at Golden Disk Award & Seoul Music Awards 2013, and Female Musician of the Year at Korean Music Awards 2014.

She’s part of two sub-units : “BOM&HI” with 2NE1’s Park Bom, and “Hi Suhyun” with Akdong Musician’s Lee Suhyun. However, both of the units only have one song under their belt.

On March 9, 2016, Lee Hi dropped the first part of her album ‘Seoulite‘ under YG’s sub-label HIGHGRND. The full album was released the month after on April 20th. The title track “Breathe” got really popular in Korea, topping #1 on main music charts, as well as on many countries in Asia.

With her unmistakable jazzy voice, able to go down to low tones but also to reach incredible high notes, Lee Hi will catch your ear for sure !
