The Rookie group SPEED seem to have had pretty complicated debut as they debuted two times in 2012. Their definitive debut was in January 2013. Even though they started at first in 2012, the changes of members and changes of record labels were not really helping the band to finally start comfortably. As a sub-unit of the band Co-ed School, they took the male members and added others male members to form a 7 members group. The public can finally appreciate this new band SPEED through their two first releases „It’s over“ and „Sad promises“ featuring Davichi. In 2012, they made a release as well with „lovey dovey plus“ as a „homage“ to T-ara’s song „Lovey dovey“. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to have made a huge impact in the music industry. But with „it’s over“, they got the attention and we really hope they can keep on this way. They seem to have a lot of potential, that’s why Japako Music decided to talk about them. At least, we can say that for their first release, they did a full length album which is really nice to be able to discover them with more song than just one or two.
Sadly, they are still underrated and there’s you can’t much interviews or shows. So it’s pretty complicated to give you an overview of the band’s members. But we will just mention their name and position for you to be able to get to know the band in his whole. First, the leader Taewoon who is the main rapper. He is also the brother of Zico from Block B. You have the lead rapper and lead dancer but also the youngest Sungmin. Then you have Sejun who is also a rapper and the visual of the band. Now let’s pass to the two main vocalists Jungwoo and Jongkook. And finally we have the vocalists and dancers, the main dancer is Yuhwan and the other lead dancer is Taeha.
They released first their album „Superior speed“ in January 2013 along with the hit song „It’s over“. Not able to wait too long for their come back, they directly released a repackage album „Blow speed“ and included a new song in it „Pain the love of heart“ which is their new hit song and it was released on the 20th of February 2013. The album is really nice to listen to, if you want to know more please check the album review.
Live, they seem to have a good presence on stage and nice choreography. Their songs are more hip hop than pop but they also don’t forget to put the two main vocalists in the spotlight with the ballads present on their album. Those 7 boys deserver our attention and from now on, Japako Music will certainly keep an eye on their release and will support them. We hope to help them getting the success they deserve and hope that they will keep on impressing us with their music. So go check them and support them!
