The Japanese duo Kinki Kids will be releasing a new single album next month!
The new single is titled “Yume wo Mireba Kizutsuku Koto mo Aru (夢を見れば傷つくこともある)” and is scheduled to be released on November 18th. The single album will be released in three different versions and both limited editions will come with a DVD containing the PV for the title track. They shot two different PVs from different points of view; “Kiite Kureteiru Hito e no Message” (A message for people who are listening) and “Jibun Jishin ni Mukete” (Towards oneself).
The CD for the two limited editions include the title track as well as two additional tracks, which varies depending on the version. The regular CD only album consists of 4 songs on the track list, none of which, except for the title track, are included on the CD for the two limited editions.
About the upcoming single, their agency has revealed:
This is a concept single, and all seven songs are fight songs, starting with the title song “Yume wo Mireba Kizutsuku Koto mo Aru.” A wonderful team of writers that KinKi Kids has prior working relationships with has come together, including Yasushi Akimoto, Goro Matsui, Hiromasa Ijichi, Koji Makaino, Tetsuro Oda, and Kohei Dojima (titles omitted). They’ve created fight song gems which are full of variety yet all of them could be considered typical of KinKi Kids.
KinKi Kids is a Japanese duo consisting of memebrs Koichi Domoto and Tsuyoshi Domoto under the talent agency Johnny & Associates. They had met at a concert in 1991 and ended up starting to appear in magazine photoshoots together and in 1992 ended up as back-up dancers for SMAP and would show up on SMAP’s variety show together. Eventually, in 1993, they were named KinKi Kids by SMAP leader Masahiro Nakai.
