Members Mitsuki Maeda and Mizuki Tsuchiyasu have decided to graduate from the popular group AKB48.
Following the news of Matsui Sakiko, members Mitsuki Maeda and Mizuki Tsuchiyasu will also be graduating from the Japanese girl group AKB48. They made the announcement a few weeks ago at one of their live performances and a graduation date has yet to be announced.
Maeda made an announcement on Google+ expressing her wish to pursue modelling, “After joining AKB48 about 3 years ago, I’ve experienced many things. Through my activities, I found my new dream of modeling. I’ve decided to take a step toward that dream.”
Tsuchiyasu too wishes to pursue something different and plans to focus on her studies, a desire she expressed to her fans at a concert, “I originally wanted to attend university, so recently, I’ve been searching for certifications and other things I want to do. But my dream of being in show biz hasn’t changed, so I want to start anew believing that I will someday be able to stand in front of everyone again with a smile.”
Although we will be sad to see them go, we wish the girls all the best for their future!
