Monsta X makes a Japanese comeback!

Following the success of The Code, Monsta X announced they will have a Japanese comeback in January. The news came from Mercury Tokyo‘s Twitter which said that the groups will return with their new single Spotlight on January 31st. The company even said that Spotlight will have a hip-hop element similar to the Monsta X we know and love. Fans can’t wait to hear the new single and are more than excited to have another Monsta X’s comeback.

On December 19th, Monsta X released a teaser of Spotlight, bringing more hype to their upcoming comeback. The short video features black and white shots of each member in spotlights, as well as the amazing choreography we expected to see in the upcoming music video. Check out the video below!

The group also released teaser images for the upcoming album. The photos show the members in an industrial building, surrounded with spotlights, as well as a black and white picture with spotlight in red text. Make sure to see the amazing pictures below!

On January 9th, Universal Music Japan finally released the long awaited music video of Spotlight. Fans finally got to hear the Japanese single, and Monsta X definitely did not disappoint. The song has the familiar Monsta X’s sound we know and love but adds a hip-hop and dance sound that keeps the song fresh and new. In the short time it has been released, the video has already reached over 500,000 views with over 98,000 likes. Make sure to check out their music video above!
