The music video for “Manito” by Eunji of APINK is a rollercoaster of emotions. This music video is basically like a mini-drama with so many things happening in it!
“Manito” tells the story of two friends who are joined at the hip. The story of the best friends ranges from their school days to the present! The best friends can be seen texting each other late at night after watching TV, dancing together to their favourite songs in their classroom, and even comforting each other late at night.
The actresses in this music video definitely do seem like real best friends! The chemistry between the duo is amazing and I felt as if I was watching a documentary rather than a drama. That being said, the music video was shot in the style of a Korean drama! The visuals and camera effects were gorgeous and I like how some scenes were slowed down to see the happy emotions of the pair in close detail.
That being said, for a three minute music video it felt quite long. It could be because of the slow-mo effect but I felt myself skipping through the music video at times. I had to watch the music video a few times over to hear the song too! I felt as if I was concentrating too much on what was happening in the video to be able to hear the song and Eunj’s voice!
Overall, I did like how the music video is like a mini-drama but I feel it would match better with a more upbeat tempo song! I give it a 3 out 5 rating!
