Nishino Kana (西野カナ)‘s upcoming single “Instruction Manual (トリセツ)” will be used as the theme song for “Heroine Disqualified.”

Instruction Manual (トリセツ)” (pronounced “Torisetsu”) will be the Japanese pop singer’s 27th single album. It is set to be released on September 9th and will include the title track and two other songs – “Song of Blood Type A (A型のうた)” and “True Love.”  The limited edition CD + DVD version of the album will also include the full music video for “Instruction Manual.”

In addition to being the title track, “Instruction Manual” had also been chosen to be the theme song for the upcoming Japanese teen romance – comedy film “Heroine Disqualified (ヒロイン失格)” (also translated as “No Longer Heroine”), which is based off of the manga series by Kouda Momoko and anime series of the same name. The storyline follows a female high school student, Hatori, that thought she would end up with her childhood best friend, Rita, but things are complicated as he is dating another girl and yet another boy, Kosuke, has started to show interest in Hatori. It is scheduled to be released in Japan on September 19th.

Meanwhile, a teaser for the movie and collaboration PV has been released that shows cuts from the movie and manga series, while playing “Instructional Manual” in the background. Check it out below:
