Uta Shimamura has announced that she will be leaving Country Girls.
Country Girls’ member Uta Shimamura has made a decision to leave the group despite only being a member for a year. This announcement was made via the Hello! Project website with Shimamura’s contract termination being effective instantly.
The remaining members of Country Girls’ had the following to say regarding the artist’s decision: “For the remaining members, we accept this reality, and strongly think we need to work harder than ever. To all of our fans, we are sorry and apologize for causing you to worry. The future of Country Girls relies on your help more than ever, so thank you”.
Hello! Project has stated that the reason for contract termination was to due to Shimamura’s personal reasons of feeling that for her, there was a “void that could not be filled”. The termination was agreed upon by both Shimamura’s family on the company.
